ICDC members in Fort Lauderdale

On June 4, ICDC members will participate in the International Forum on Cuba’s Transition to Democracy in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, organized by the Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies, University of Miami and USAID.

The forum shall take place on the eve of the Organization of American States General Assembly and shall concentrate on the methods of encouraging and coordinating international support and solidarity for democracy in Cuba and the role of the Inter-American system in Cuba’s transition. Participants will include a number of leading academics, politicians, ambassadors and organizations whilst participating ICDC members will include Eduardo Frei, Mart Laar, Luis Alberto Lacalle and Luis Alberto Monge. A message shall be broadcast from ICDC founding member Václav Havel declaring his support for the forum.
