Mr Pavol Hrušovsky in Miami

Mr Pavol Hrusovský, President of the Slovak Parliament, travelled to Miami from April 20 -22 to meet wirh Cuban exile organizations. He signed a joint official notice with leaders of the Cuban exile as a ratification of the agreements obtained in September of 2004 in Prague.

Pavol Hrušovský together with Carlos Alberto Montaner, of the Cuban Liberal Union and Javier De Cespedes, of the Cuban Democratic Directorate, signed a joint official
notice of support and solidarity with the Cuban opposition movement. The document was also signed by Mexican Federal Representative Dr. Francisco Landero and Dr Alvaro Dubón, the representative of the Conservative Group of the Central American Parliament, in addition to a representative of the Czech organization People in Need. In addition, Mr Hrušovský telephoned Damas de Blanco (Women in White) and Oswaldo Payá to discuss the situation in Cuba and to declare his support for their continued and sustained commitment to human rights.
