2006-07-20 / Roisin Joyce
An article entitled Cuba: Human Rights a la Havana was published today (20th July) in the International Herald Tribune. The article was written by ICDC members Vaclav Havel (former president of the Czech Republic) and Madeleine Albright (former US Secretary of State and foreign policy expert).
The article focused on the recent Programa Todos Cubanos (Program for All Cubans) developed by Oswaldo Paya as an extension of the Varela Project and the National Dialogue. The article calls on all those who support human rights to call on members of the Human Rights Council and UN member states to bring their influence to bear on the Castro regime.
