The People in Need Transformation Project

People in Need has recently completed a handbook that outlines the Czech democratic transition process. The handbook, being compiled in cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, draws on the lessons learned over the past fifteen years of Czech transition, and will also include the experience of other Central and Eastern European countries. The handbook consists of twenty chapters written by experts on various subjects, followed by commentary by law makers involved in the implementation of the subjects discussed. The goal of the handbook is to create a tool that builds on the success and failures of Czech transition for governments experiencing a similar period of dramatic change.
